ACCOUNT DIRECTOR-NEW YORK and SEATTLE
We are looking for a strong Account Director to join Waggener Edstrom Worldwide. This person would serve as a senior leader for both clients, team and the agency as a whole. The leader will be responsible for managing client business on a daily basis, insuring that the client’s needs are met to the highest degree possible. As the senior contact on the account day to day, the responsibilities will include working closely with the leadership team on the business in determining client delight and successful goal achievement. We are looking for a high energy individual who is self-motivated and is a good team motivator to help make business efforts a success for our clients and agency.
Responsibilities
Provide strategic counsel and PR plan development
Communicate effectively with senior level client personnel, as well as internal team members.
Proven success working in a fast-paced and multi-tasked environment; must possess solid PR skills with the ability to successfully delegate and manage a growing team.
Manage multi-tasking efforts, as well as delegate appropriately to other team members Engaging team members in group meetings and encouraging maximum contribution and enthusiasm from each individual in a team setting.
Effectively manage both direct reports and virtual teams Know high tech industry and players; possess and develop fresh contacts, networking strengths and connections in the security, management and server operating systems
Qualifications
Bachelors degree or above in communications, journalism or related field preferred.
Experience Preferred:
At least 7 years experience in PR – in an agency and/or within the high tech industry preferably. 8-10 years preferred.
Established strong relationships with business, technology trade and consumer media, market analysts and proactively placed stories.
Minimum of 4 years individual and team management experience, including experience developing a team.
Minimum of 4 years PR management, crisis management, and execution experience, including developing plans, client management, launch strategies, product positioning, pitching stories to the media, negotiation, budget responsibility, media training a client, messaging and creative tactical ideas.
Filling two positions, one in New York, and one in Seattle.
